Steve Blodgett was a goal-scoring machine in his junior and senior seasons for the Huskies. His 33-goal output in 1980-81 is still North's single-season record. His 69 career goals (in just three varsity seasons)is still second. At the time of Steve's graduation, he was the all-time leading scorer. Blodgett scored a goal in the final 11 games of his high school career! He notched five hat tricks in 1980-81, including a pair of four-goal games. The Huskies went 29-10-3 in Steve's last two seasons, winning the Northwest Hockey Conference title his senior year. Blodgett is a charter member of the North High Hall of Fame. He earned eight letters in hockey, football, and baseball. He was the North High Athlete of the Year in 1981. He was honored as the Player of the Year in the Northwest Hockey Conference and was also named the WIAA High School Hockey Player of the Year.

Steve Blodgett also had a very successful college career from 1982-85. He was a first-team All-American for the NAIA National Champion UW-Eau Claire Blugolds in 1983-84. He closed out his college career as the school's second-leading scorer with 67 goals and 66 assists for 133 points in 111 games. Blodgett also served as an assistant coach under Ian Perrin for the 1997-98 season.
