David Boehm was a key part of Eau Claire North's 1992-93 WIAA State Tournament Semifinalist team. He led them in scoring and set a single-season assist record that stood until 2006. He left after his sophomore season to play Junior Hockey and went on to play Division III College Hockey at UW-Stevens Point. He had eight game-winning goals in two years for the Pointers.
