Hutson wore the Memorial sweater in more games than anyone in school
history. As a junior, he volunteered to move back to defense and was a
rock-steady player who could rush the puck or play physical in his own
end. Hutson saw Varsity time as a freshman. Although he was frequently
one of the shortest players on the ice, Hutson was always one of the
most physical as well. He is the younger
brother
of former Regis/McDonell star Braxton
Collins
and the son of former UW-Eau Claire womens' hockey coach
Mike Collins. Hutson's first varsity goal tied the Holiday Tournament
game against Fargo South/Shanley, 5-5, in the 3rd period at Rochester
on 12/31/14.
