Matt Huggins had the unusual distinction of playing a regular shift as an effective defenseman for almost his entire career before he was whistled for his first penalty. Huggins played great position hockey and when he didn't (see picture above), he did whatever it took to stop opposing forwards. His only State Tournament experience came as a freshman, but he played on four winning teams.
