Brad Hultman was the heart and soul of the Old Abes' "Skeleton Crew," the first Memorial team to advance to the State Tournament. Andy Akervik, Pat Graham, and Eric Johnson got the goals, but Coach Mark Froehle's concept of playing just 11 players would not have worked without "Skeletor" (Hultman). The strategy worked because Hultman rarely left the ice and anchored the Old Abe defense.
