Eric Kuklinski played for his father, Coach Tom Kuklinski and also for Tom Bernhardt the last half of his senior year. He was a very good skater and an outstanding passer. Eric scored an overtime game-winning goal against Chippewa Falls in his second varsity game. He scored four goals, including the game-winner, against Somerset on December 27th, 1996 at River Falls. At the time he graduated, Eric held the career record for assists at North. It has since been broken by Derrick La Point and Justin Johnson. But Eric is still 7th on the career scoring list. Eric played college hockey for UW-Eau Claire in 1998-99.
