Steve Marczinke played on North's first varsity team and his place in history was assured when he scored the first goal for the Huskies on December 26th, 1975. His final goal helped North win its first-ever WIAA Tournament game against Memorial on February 23rd, 1976.
Marczinke is one of many of the early players who have "given back" to the game they love. "Zink" has gone on to become one of the most respected coaches in Wisconsin. He has won over 120 games as a head coach at Altoona and Menomonie. He also served as an assistant at North.
