Mark Mitchell was a talented defenseman on the first three Memorial teams. He was the first "C.K" (coaches kid) to play varsity hockey in Eau Claire. His dad, Bill Mitchell was an assistant for two years and head coach in Mark's senior year. That 1977-78 team was the first Memorial squad to post a winning record.
