Austin became a powerful contributor to the Huskies as a junior. He scored the tying and winning goals at Chippewa Falls on December 17th, 2009. In the opening game of the Black River Falls Holiday Tournament, he notched a goal and three assists in a 4-2 win over Madison La Follette/East. As a senior, Austin led North in scoring.
