Brady Sand backstopped the Old Abes to their first State Championship in 2008. His 21 wins in 2006-07 set a new school record. The "Sandman" set new school records for single-season AND career wins, shutouts, goals against average, save percentage, and wining percentage. He also holds the record for longest shutout streak (221:07). He and Aarin McLaughlin and Saxton Soley combined to set new school records with 21 goals allowed and 13 shutouts. Brady also is the first Old Abe goalie ever to record four assists in a season and five in a career. And, he holds the world record for the most times watching the movie "Miracle" (the night before every game!).
Brady is continuing his athletic career, playing baseball at St. Olaf. He hit .257 for the Oles in 2010 and also had a win on the mound.
