Bill Schwartz took the ice with a lot of energy. Several of his goals came in the first minute or two of a game. He also made one of his biggest plays near the end of a game, assisting on a goal by Kevin Kuhlow that gave the Abes a 3-2 win over North and a berth in the 1990 WIAA State Tournament. Bill's younger brother, Karl, also played for Memorial.
