# - Memorial was forced to forfeit 16 victories due to an ineligible player. Their official record was amended to 6-17, but their record on the ice was 18-2-2, 11-1 in the BRC. Coach Schwengler gets credit for that record, according to an official ruling from the WIAA.
+ = State Champions
* - Big Rivers Conference Champion
Mike Schwengler was an All-American player at UW-Eau Claire. He is third on the all-time school scoring list behind Alex and Mark Hicks. He served three years as an assistant coach at Memorial under Jim Roo before being named the Abes' 6th head coach in 1997. He is the winningest Memorial coach in history. His 2012-13 team won the school's 2nd WIAA State Championship. The 2007-08 team won the first WIAA State Championship in Eau Claire hockey history and finished with a perfect 26-0 record. Memorial has won 10 BRC Titles under Schwengler. Had it not been for the forfeits in '05-'06, Schwengler would have 14 consecutive winning seasons. His ten straight winning campaigns from 2006-16 are a school record. The 2006-07 team was the first ever to go through a regular season unbeaten. They advanced to the semifinals of the WIAA State Tournament before losing 2-1 to eventual State Champion Fond du Lac. Schwengler was named the Section 2 Coach of the Year.
Mike is a teacher in the Eau Claire school system. He teaches physical education at Roosevelt Elementary and specially-designed physical education at Sherman Elementary. He and his wife, Barb, have three children, Brett (21), Dawson (18), and Madison (15).
