Seth Soley closed out his prep career as Eau Claire Memorial's all-time scoring leader. His goal against Madison West in the opening game of the 2007 WIAA State Tournament was his 67th, breaking Tyler Burzynski's school record. His career records were eclipsed by Jefferson Dahl the next season, but Soley had a tremendous three-year career for the Abes. Soley was the only sophomore named to the All-Big Rivers Conference First Team in 2005-06. He was named All-BRC and All-State in 2006-07 and also named to the All-State Tournament Team.

The Green Bay Gamblers drafted Soley in the fall of '06 in the USHL Futures Draft, but traded his rights to Omaha. Soley decided to forgo his senior year at Memorial to play Junior Hockey for the Lancers. He notched a game-winning goal and added an assist in his second game with the Lancers. He wound up with eight goals and seven assists in 43 games for the Clark Cup champions.

Soley played two seasons at Michigan Tech. He transferred to St. Norbert for the 2010-11 season. He notched two goals, including a game-winner, and four assists in a series against UW-Eau Claire on January 21st and 22nd. Check out his stats here

The following evaluation of Soley was provided by "DPlaya" on the outstanding blog site "Hockey in Wisconsin.":

F-Seth Soley-skates well, quick wrister, can get his shot off with the puck in any position (his wheelhouse is anywhere his stick touches the puck). He is fantastic at catching passes, and played very physical without taking a lot of penalties (he had one penalty that I remember). I think the right word to describe him is explosive. On the negative side his aggressiveness on offense during the penalty kill was overdone at times, although he did assist on a short-handed goal in the game

Seth Soley is interviewed on the SPORTSRADIO 1400 post-game show after setting the all-time Memorial scoring record.
