Nate was a solid two-way forward for Memorial. He centered the "Conehead Line" for the State Champions. He was named to the 2007-08 2nd Team All-Big Rivers Conference squad. He scored two goals in the State Tournament Quarterfinal win over Janesville. Verbracken wound up 19th on Memorial's all-time scoring list. Nate was also named to the Leader-Telegram All-Northwest Football Team as a wide receiver. He was only the 13th Old Abe skater to score 20 goals in a season. Nate hopes to be a dentist someday.
