Cory was a tremendous athlete and certainly one of the best in a long line of excellent goaltenders at North. He backstopped the Huskies to their first WIAA State Tournament Final Four appearance in 1995. He played superbly in a 2-1 loss to Superior, stopping 35 of 37 shots. The Spartans' only successes against Wright came on a 3-on-1 rush and a power play.
