Ben
wound up an outstanding career as the 5th-leading scorer in Memorial
history. He served notice in his sophomore year when he scored
four
goals, including a "pure" hat trick,
against Rochester Lourdes in the season opener. He notched an
overtime game-winner in a big non-conference game at St. Paul Academy
in his junior year. Then the long-armed vet saved the best for last,
notching 59 points in his senior year, including a pair of goals in the
WIAA State Tournament. Ben is the
son of former Old Abe Damin Zacho and the grandson
of former Minnesota Gopher All-American baseball player and hockey star
Denny Zacho.
