Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun

Paint by number
A tasteless joke about Anck-su-Namun's body paint
Snakes and Sand
Anck-su-Namun lounging in the sand with some of her pet asps.
Her dress is taken from a book on Egyptian costume.
Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun
Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun during happier days.
Their clothes are also based on an Egyptian costumes book and are authentic to the Old Kingdom, but I look liberties with the draping part of her gown.
Anck with weapons
Anck-su-Namun's probably saying, "Just because I'm wearing this spiffy skirt doesn't mean I can't kick your asp!" Or something like that... ;-)
Unlucky Exterminator!
I would not want to be an exterminator in Hamunaptra and environs...

Queen Anck-su-Namun
Anck-su-Namun in a costume worn by her historical namesake

Imhotep is given the bird...
Back in Thebes, Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun play with some birds--or is it the other way around?
(The birds are my attempts at a Knysna Touraco and a Go-Away Bird, which are both native to Africa.  Both outfits are based on those in a book on historic costumes.)

Romance in the gardens...
Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun share a fleeting moment of romance in the gardens at Karnak
(The birds are native to Africa, and the statue is based on a real one at Karnak.)

Anck-su-Namun sadly ponders her impossible situation

In London, "Meela" goes shopping and finds another use for an extra hatbox!

I love this one. :-)
Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun snuggle close as the sun sets over the desert.
(The background is a screengrab from the first movie.)

Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun about to kiss inside a temple.
An extremely elaborate drawing that took a ton of time, but was worth it!  The hieroglyphics on the right-hand column read, as nearly as I could write it in English, "Death is only the beginning for us."  The cartouche on the left has something to do with Osiris.  The temple background is bits and pieces of temples at Karnak and Philae that I took from pictures and paintings.  :-)

Anck-su-Namun models an outfit worn by Cleopatra in the quasi-recent TV miniseries

Imhotep shows off his skills at making sandcastles, but does he have an unfair advantage?

Bad what day?
A bad what day?

Seti better watch out...
Immy and Anck looking especially devious

Immy and Anck nuzzling
