TaleSpin Lite Brite
In case you don't know, a Lite Brite is a white box with a lightbulb inside. You put a piece of black construction paper over the open side and then press little semitransparent plastic pegs through the paper. The light shines through the pegs and makes them glow in whatever color the plastic is. You're very limited in the number of colors, as you can see by the way they depicted Karnage! o_0 Click here to see the front of the package. Here's the back of the package, showing what each of the pictures would look like when complete: I thought it was interesting that some of the slightly more obscure characters were included. Poor Rebecca is still stuck in that "shocked" pose that's on so many promo materials, though. The Sea Duck doesn't look much like itself, but aside from the funky coloring (which can't really be helped, considering the limited palette available) Don Karnage turned out pretty well. It didn't make any sense to scan all the sheets inside, since they're pretty plain to see without the lights. (Here's the Don Karnage one, shrunk to half-size, just to give you an idea of what they look like.) The letters making up in the figure tell you what color light pegs to put there. P for pink, V for violet, G for green...pretty self-explanatory. I took that image and added the corresponding dots in PaintShop to give you a better idea of what the finished project would look like. Click here to see that image. |
